History

1987 - October 5th, King Mechanical Contractors was formed in Chattanooga, Tennessee, by Mr. Bill W. King Jr., offering piping and millwright services.

1989 - Moved to a 3,000 square foot office and fabrication shop facility adding sheet metal services.

1992 - Relocation to a 20,000 square foot office and fabrication shop facility which continues to be the location of corporate operations.

1996 - Opened and since relocated a branch office and shop facility in Waco, Texas to better serve customers in the southwest U.S.

1997 - Acquisition of an additional 25,000 square foot office and fabrication shop complex located on 3.5 acres in Cleveland, Tennessee. The sheet metal, millwright, and iron working functions, Project estimating, and portions of project administration are located there. Corporate operations, portions of project administration, support systems, and the piping department remained in the Chattanooga, Tennessee location.

2001 - October 1st , King Mechanical Contractors Inc. officially became King Industries Inc., consisting of four divisions offering turnkey mechanical design and construction capabilities.
