Safety Culture

Our Safety Culture is considered of utmost importance in all operations and is a value that defines who we are. Health, Safety and Environment is an integral part of risk management and we are committed to maintaining effective and compliant standards that will protect the environment, prevent injuries and avoid accidents.

To meet our commitment, we promote a positive attitude toward prevention. We have established and insist upon safe work practices and conditions, provide training, monitor for conformance, and ensure that supervision and employees understand and accept their responsibilities.

King Industries complies with federal, state, and local regulations as they pertain to OSHA CFR 1910 and OSHA CFR 1926, and follows the policies and procedures established in our Health, Safety and Environmental Program. Safety compliance also conforms to specific policies, procedures and rules required by our clients. King’s safety performance consistently remains strong with an EMR below our industry average and incident rates better than the Bureau of Labor Statistics averages for our industry.

We work hard to develop and maintain a strong safety culture within our organization. The responsibility for prevention is based on leadership, employee empowerment, and most of all, caring for each other. Empowerment is the process through which our people gain greater control over decisions and actions affecting their health, safety and wellbeing. It is both an individual and a company process. We empower our people to step up and take action when they see an issue, no matter their position.
